Last updated: October 2026

RSSHub Backup is a private utility used only by its owner to back up RSSHub configuration data to the owner's Google Drive.

Google Drive access

The application requests the Google Drive drive.file OAuth scope. This allows it to create, view, update, list and delete files and folders that the application creates or that the user has explicitly opened with it. It does not request permission to read unrelated Google Drive files.

How data is used and stored

The utility collects RSSHub configuration and necessary backup data from the owner's server, encrypts backup archives locally, then uploads the encrypted archives to the owner's Google Drive. OAuth tokens are stored on an owner-controlled server and used only for this backup workflow. They are not embedded in this website.

Sharing and third parties

The utility does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties for marketing. Google Drive stores the encrypted backup archives at the owner's direction. This informational website is served via Cloudflare, which may process normal web request information in providing the service.

Retention and deletion

Backups remain in the owner's Google Drive until the owner deletes them. The owner can delete the backup files in Google Drive and revoke the application's access through Google Account security settings. Revoking access stops future uploads until reauthorization.

Website privacy

Contact

This is a single-user personal application. The project owner can be contacted using the developer contact email configured in the Google OAuth consent screen.
